1PREPARATION

a. Locate where Rhino Carbon Fiber (CF) Straps will be installed

b. Mark spot with marker

NOTE (Per ACI Guideline)

• CF Straps should always be installed 4' on center

• CF Straps should be placed in between mortar joints

2GRIND

a. Grind foundation wall the vertical length of where CF Straps will be installed

b. CF Straps should span sill plate to floor

c. Remove caulk/latex/etc. From mortar joints

d. Achieve a "bare block" or "bare foundation" wall

e. use mortor joints as guide

3MARK

a. Pre-mark drill holes with pencil or pen for the Sill Plate Bracket

b. Make sure Sill Plate Bracket is level with top of fundation wall

c. An uneven Bracket will cause splitting and damage to the sill plate

4DRILL

a. Pre-drill holes using a 1/4" drill bit

b. Holes will ensure a smoth mounting process for the combined Sill Plate Bracket and CF Strap

Grinding

5DRILL FOOTING

a. Pre-drill hole at a 45 degree in the center of the strip

6ATTACH

a. Measure wall from floor to top sill plate

b. Measure CF Strap and cut to length

c. Prepare CF Strap and Sill Plate Bracket using diagram below

d. Apply epoxy to all sides of CF Strap to ensure a secure bond between sill plate and Sill Bracket when

e. Use mortor joints as guide

Tools Tape measure, Scissors, Latex Gloves, Epoxy bottle & Caulk

Attach Apply Epoxy Fold

7MOUNT

a. Mount Sill Plate Bracket using diagram below

b. Check level of Sill Plate Brackeet to ensure a secure fit to sill plate

c. Fasten (2) 3/8 x 2 lag bolts to Sill Plate Bracket

Tools & Hardware Hammer, Level, (2) 3/8 x 2 Lag Bolts & (2) Flat Washers

Mount Check Level Fasten Lag Bolts

8EPOXY

a. Apply poxy to foundation wall and CF Strap using the diagram below

b. Once sufficient coating of epoxy applied to foundation wall, lay down CF Strap over epoxy making sure CF Strap is plumb with ground

c. Use squeege over epoxy for both foundation wall and CF Strap

d. Use light strokes with squuegee to spread epoxy evenly focusing on the edges for a clean and secure installation

Epoxy Lift CF Strap & Apply Epoxy to wall Squeegee epoxy to foundation wall Apply CF Strap & Coat with epoxy

9ANCHOR

a. Secure bottom of CF Strap using the diagram below

b. Apply a sufficient coating of epoxy to foundation wall, CF Strap and twisted CF Pin

c. Use light strokes with squeegee to spread epoxy evenly focusing on the edges for a clean and secure installation

Tools Power Drill, 3/4" Bit, Epoxy, Caulk Gun & Squeegee
