CONCRETE Crack Repair Kits

The Rhino Carbon Fiber Crack Repair Kit fixes both cracks and leaks in concrete walls as well as provides structural reinforcement. It is an effective and economical crack repair solution that utilizes the high strength of carbon fiber to resist any potential future movement. Carbon fiber is light weight, easy-to-install, strong (10x stronger than steel) and non-corrosive, which eliminates the need for maintenance. Carbon fiber can also be easily painted over or covered with a finishing product for aesthetic appeal.

The Rhino Carbon Fiber Crack Repair Kit can be used as a stand-alone repair solution or in conjunction with Rhino Carbon Fiber Concrete Crack Lock stitches and RCF injection products (RCF Resin Crack Injection Kit and RCF Polyurethane Crack Injection Kit). The Rhino Carbon Fiber Crack Repair Kits come in both unidirectional and bidirectional carbon fiber weaves to address a wide variety of applications. The Rhino Carbon Fiber Crack Repair Kit is a “must have” for foundation repair and waterproofing professionals.

Please note that Unidirectional Carbon Fiber is not appropriate for repairs that require high anisotropic strength (strength in all directions); Rhino Carbon Fiber CFRP (Bidirectional) is better suited for these repairs. If concrete is cracked around a window frame, a bidirectional weave works best for the repair since it provides strength in all directions. A unidirectional weaves works best for repairs that require strength in one direction.

We can be general in saying these can be used for crack repair and structural strengthening:
  • Use a bidirectional weave on any crack or element requiring additional strengthening in all directions
  • Use a horizontal weave on a vertical crack or element requiring strengthening in one direction
  • Use a vertical weave on a horizontal crack or element requiring strengthening in one direction
Carbon fiber can also be layered for additional strength. Widths are chosen based on the size of the crack, area being strengthened and/or strengthening requirements; 24-inch wide carbon fiber is a great choice for large concrete surfaces since it will require less labor than the 12-inch option. This information is only a recommendation and any structural assessments or repair questions should be directed to a structural engineer.
